In the dark match, Simon Diamond took on Vito "The Skull" LaGrasso. Simon took the mic before the match started, and asked the crowd to be quiet while he was talking. The crowd booed him, so he said "Simon says 'Shut up!" He then got in Skull's face, spitting in his face and slapping him. Vito responded by decking Simon, and the match was on. LaGrasso dominated the early going, punctuated with the "People's Stomp", and an elbow to the groin. Simon fought back and hit two consecutive vertical suplexes, then dropped him on the third attempt into a gourdbuster, for a near fall. After going back and forth, Skull poured on the offense, delivering a top rope elbow drop, but hesitated before making the cover and only got a two count. Diamond turned a slam attempt into a reverse DDT for a two count of his own. Diamond leapfrogged a charging LaGrasso, but Vito stopped short on the second pass, and hooked his spike DDT for the win.
